about me. My name is Shirlie and I'm a 

"Baby Boomer"  living in Texas,  USA. 

far  back  as I can remember.  My mother, an excellent and

detailed seamstress, made my clothes all throughout my

school  years.  I still have a blanket my Grandmother made

 for me and  proudly display it on my family Lane Chest. 

My husband Terry, and our children, Heather and Adam,

still  enjoy visiting my Grandparent's farm in East Texas.

My  father works diligently to keep the farm a family

gathering  place and a refuge from our everyday struggles.

For more than twenty five years I worked  in a  Public

Safety  Dispatch Center and  used cross stitch to help

relieve the stress of the job . I am now recently retired and we

 are preparing to move to the family farm.
